Did you know there is estimated to be 1.5 million animal species living today that have been scientifically categorized? That’s an awful lot. Out of all 1.5 million species, only 1 has the ability to tell a narrative that explores the meaning of its own life.
Storytelling is fundamentally important to being human. It’s as necessary as food, water, sleep, & exercise. If we are unable to tell stories, or at least, truly appreciate them, we are lacking some of our humanity.
I love a good story. Especially one that makes me think and celebrates beauty. When I walk away from a story with a deep sigh, I know it was nutritious for my soul. What’s especially amazing about storytelling is that it’s not exclusive to any format. There are many ways in which we can tell stories, and all of them are equally special.
In a world that is becoming more and more fixated on quick and easy entertainment, it’s especially important to cultivate and discuss the art of storytelling. And not just any storytelling – Intentional storytelling.
Anyone can tell a story. But can you tell a story that will make a difference?
Come with me on this journey to discover the importance of storytelling and how to do it well. Learn how each medium provides unique strengths to its story. Reignite the passion in your heart to express yourself and explore the deeper meanings and themes of the world. Come and recapture part of your humanity.
